Grief Consultation and Education

Think about this

100%

Percentage of people who will experience grief/ loss of some kind in thier lives. Many of us do not take the time to process our grief / loss.

What is Grief?

Grief is a normal and natural reaction to change or loss of any kind. It is a response to a change in, or end of, any familiar pattern of behaviour.

What are some things that cause grief?

The list includes but is not limited to: Death, Loss of job, Divorce, Illness, etc. But there are also ‘intangible losses” such as; safety, dreams, hopes and expectations.

Grief is often misunderstood because of myths and misinformation within our society. People always say “Keep yourself busy!” Or “Don’t feel bad, it just takes time”. We will often distract ourselves from dealing with grief by doing things like shopping, drugs and alcohol, exercise etc. The grief is still there because it has not been dealt with.
